Good Day Members,
On November 23rd there will be an election for District 3 Director. We encourage All members to participate in this very important Election. There has not been an Election in our District since the time of the IWA / USW merger in 2004. Actually I believe the last election in the District was in 1989.
Like any Election the individual you choose to elect at the ballot box is strictly your choice, and YOUR CHOOSING ONLY!!. It is your Democratic Right to be able to choose and Vote.
In September USW LOCAL 1-2017 unanimously Endorsed Scott Lunny as their candidate of choice in this election.
So on NOVEMBER 23rd PLEASE MAKE YOUR VOTE COUNT!

Connection to Care - Mental Health Program

BC Forest Safety Council Launches “Connection to Care” Mental Health Support Program for Forestry Workers
Nanaimo, BC – January 13, 2026 – The BC Forest Safety Council (BCFSC) is proud to announce the launch of Connection to Care, a free, confidential mental health support service designed to help forestry workers across British Columbia. This initiative officially began on January 5th, 2026, and will run until December 31st, 2027, offering vital upstream mental health care to thousands of workers in the forest sector.
