After the 2025 AGM The following language changes were adopted:
13c) Board Members and Alternate Board Members shall be elected biennially in the month of February or March at their operations on the basis of one Board Member and one Alternate Board Member from each operation with more than twenty (20) members, based on the previous twelve (12) month membership average.
13f) The Executive Board Members elected in February or March shall be installed at the first Executive Board meeting after the Annual Delegated Meeting.
Recent News
Approved amendments for Part 6, Combustible Dusts, in the Occupational Health and Safety Regulation and the Prevention Manual
At its November 2025 meeting, WorkSafeBC’s Board of Directors approved amendments pertaining to Combustible Dusts in Part 6 of the Occupational Health and Safety Regulation and the Prevention Manual.
The amendments will come into effect on January 4, 2027.
Connection to Care - Mental Health Program

BC Forest Safety Council Launches “Connection to Care” Mental Health Support Program for Forestry Workers
Nanaimo, BC – January 13, 2026 – The BC Forest Safety Council (BCFSC) is proud to announce the launch of Connection to Care, a free, confidential mental health support service designed to help forestry workers across British Columbia. This initiative officially began on January 5th, 2026, and will run until December 31st, 2027, offering vital upstream mental health care to thousands of workers in the forest sector.
